Before using this patch, please make sure you have installed the game body and the runtime libraries and programs required by the patch: Basic description
Currently the game can be purchased on the Steam platform or GOG, and the search keyword is Tokyo Xanadu. After purchase, apply the patch provided here to become a more perfect Chinese version.
The resource directory is Tokyo Xanadu ex+ Sinicization patch/ Tokyo Lost City _Steam_GOG version Sinicization patch under Xanadu
Preliminary steps: STEP-0
If your game is purchased from Steam/GOG, downloaded and updated to the latest version, then this step is not necessary. Otherwise download:
[STEP0] Upgrade patch No. 1 (installed on the basis of the original version before 20180228, Steam and GOG client updates do not need to be installed), decompress and run Setup to install, pay attention to select the path where the game is located (until the game's own directory, as follows Figure). Click Install and follow the instructions to complete the installation.
The first step: STEP-1
Download "[STEP1] General Chinese Video Patch" and copy it to the game installation directory (refer to the picture below, containing Tokyo Xanadu.exe, Steam is Steam\steamapps\common\Tokyo Xanadu eX+, please install it separately by yourself Path), right click, unzip to the current location (some compression software calls extract to the current location), if there are duplicate files, please select overwrite.
Step 2: STEP-2
Download "[STEP2] Common Chinese Picture Package" and copy it to the game installation directory (refer to the picture below, containing Tokyo Xanadu.exe, Steam is Steam\steamapps\common\Tokyo Xanadu eX+, please install it separately according to your own Path), right click, and unzip to the current location (some compression software is called extract to the current location). After decompression, there should be many picture file packages with pkg suffix in the game directory. This is a normal situation for patching. The current pictures are all based on the PS4 version of Traditional Chinese.
The third step: STEP-3
According to the requirements of simplified and traditional Chinese, download "【STEP3】Common Chinese text package", and copy it to the game installation directory (refer to the figure below, which contains Tokyo Xanadu.exe, Steam is Steam\steamapps\common\Tokyo Xanadu eX+, yourself If you install it separately, please follow your own path), right-click and unzip it to the current location (some compression software calls it to extract to the current location), if you are prompted to have duplicate files, please select overwrite.
There are two differences between the two versions: the traditional Chinese version is completely in accordance with the latest patch version on the host, without any translation and picture correction; the traditional to simplified font version converts traditional text to simplified text for display, and at the same time, some simplified versions of FALCOM's previous works appear The past nouns have been unified, some adjustments have been made according to the differences in language habits between traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese, and some obvious errors have been corrected.
The fourth step: STEP-4
According to the different game versions, download the "[STEP4] Chinese main program" and copy it to the game installation directory (refer to the above picture, which contains Tokyo Xanadu.exe, Steam is Steam\steamapps\common\Tokyo Xanadu eX+, yourself If you install it separately, please follow your own path), right-click and unzip it to the current location (some compression software calls it to extract to the current location), if you are prompted to have duplicate files, please select overwrite. The Steam version uses the Steam package, and the GOG version uses the GOG package. And please set the game’s default language to Japanese in the platform (the localization patch is based on the localization of the Japanese version. If you don’t set it, the game will crash due to text order and other issues). For example, if the Steam version is adjusted to the Japanese version to start the game The specific method is to right click on the Tokyo Xanadu ex+ game in the Steam library -> Properties -> Language, set it to Japanese and close it. A similar setting can be found on the GOG version of the platform interface.
For users of Steam version 21:9 with fish screen, you can also try to download "[STEP4 optional] Steam Genuine Chinese Main Program 21×9 Ultra Widescreen Beta", open the compressed package and drag the main program corresponding to your monitor resolution to the game Under the path (refer to the above picture), and there directly double-click to run the main program corresponding to the ultra-widescreen to run the game, and set the closest resolution in the game (such as 1920×1080 / 2560×1440).
At this point, all the patches for the Lost City of Tokyo have been installed. The original compressed package downloaded and copied above can be deleted.
When running the Steam version of the game, please make sure that the client is open.
If the game is updated, please re-verify the integrity of the game in the platform to restore to the latest version of the original game, and then wait for me to update the Chinese patch for adaptation, re-download and play the Chinese patch in the order above (if STEP1 has not changed, usually only need to be patched from STEP2). For the Steam platform, please refer to the flash rail method above, and GOG will explore it on its own.
